Call for Applications: Tadamon Accelerator for Food Security 2025 (Grants up to $40,000)
Food security is a cornerstone of human well-being, significantly affecting the health, stability, and resilience of individuals and communities. However, many regions, particularly those affected by climate change, conflict, and crises, are grappling with growing food insecurity. To address this pressing global challenge, the Tadamon Accelerator for Food Security 2025 is inviting applications from civil society organizations (CSOs) with innovative solutions aimed at creating sustainable and secure food systems.
Funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), this initiative seeks to empower CSOs operating in conflict-prone regions to develop impactful, scalable, and sustainable food security projects.
If you represent a CSO with a transformative idea to enhance food security and you operate in one of the 12 eligible countries, this accelerator program is your chance to bring your vision to life. Building on the success of the first Tadamon Accelerator in 2022, this second edition promises to be more impactful, offering an enriched platform for innovation, learning, and collaboration.

To qualify, your organization must:
Be a registered CSO in one of the following countries: Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Chad, Djibouti, Libya, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, the State of Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, or Yemen.
Be a member of the Tadamon Community.
Have a project proposal aligned with one of the program’s thematic focus areas, targeting improved food access and sustainability for vulnerable communities.
Demonstrate proficiency in spoken and written English, as the program will be conducted entirely in English.

Selection Criteria
The Tadamon Accelerator seeks innovative, scalable, and impactful solutions. Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
1. Project Feasibility
Your proposed solution must be practical and capable of being developed, tested, and implemented within six months of completing the program.
2. Innovation and Novelty
Projects should leverage cutting-edge technologies, digital tools, or new approaches to address food security challenges. Proposals that integrate advanced technologies like AI, blockchain, IoT, or data-driven solutions will be prioritized.
3. Established Partnerships
Applicants must demonstrate readiness to collaborate with local or international partners during project implementation. Partnerships with INGOs are strongly encouraged.
4. Scalability
The proposed solution should address a critical need and show potential for expansion to reach new target groups or markets.
5. Potential for Impact
Your project should clearly demonstrate its ability to deliver measurable outcomes through well-defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
6. Management Capacity
Applicants must have a dedicated team of at least two members with relevant expertise and backgrounds to execute the project effectively.
7. Co-Financing Commitment
Organizations must show the ability to contribute to at least 50% of the project budget, either through in-kind contributions or external funding.
Additional considerations include:
Gender Representation: Proposals should be gender-responsive and promote gender equality. At least 35% of selected organizations will be women-led CSOs.
Focus on Vulnerable Groups: Priority will be given to projects operating in conflict-prone areas and targeting vulnerable populations.
