General Requirements

  1. Nigerian Citizenship:

    • Applicants must be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and currently reside in the country.

  2. Enrollment Status:

    • Must be enrolled as a full-time first-year student in the 2024/2025 academic session at an accredited Nigerian federal or state university.

  3. Academic Excellence:

    • Possess at least five O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English, obtained in one sitting from WASC, SSCE, or NECO.

  4. Age Limit:

    • Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old at the time of application.

  5. Non-Eligibility for Other Scholarships:

    • Applicants must not be recipients of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant.

  6. Exclusion of NLNG Staff Relatives:

    • Children, wards, spouses, or direct relatives of NLNG staff are not eligible to apply.
