The African PachiPanda Challenge 2024 is an effort by MTN and WWF to inspire and support Innovative Solutions addressing pressing environmental challenges across the globe.










The challenge specifically contributes to achieving WWF's core objective of Zero Habitat loss, promoting healthy populations and preventing species extinction.





'Making Nature Count', which is also WWF's Africa strategy which focuses on ensuing that the value of Africa's natural  capital is fully integrated into decision making by co-operations, financial institutions, society and the governments.




The Africa PachiPanda Challenge builds on the success of the PachiPanda innovation challenthhosted by MTN Zambia which was in partnership with WWF - Worldwide Funds For nature back in 2022 -2023.




Benefits of the Challenge:

* The teams will have the opportunity to pitch their solutions to a selected panel of industry experts with the winning teams smiling back home with prizes valued at $5000.






* The winning solutions from the Challenge will be implemented to address the pressing environmental challenge in the respective countries, enhancing the long term sustainability of those communities and the African continent.




Stages of the Program:
The Challenge is expected to take the following phases;


 First, all Applicants in each country will be shortlisted, after which the selected participants will then form teams of up to three members and undergo a human centered design process during a 5 - day Sprint week, followed by the process of business modeling, developing unique value propositions and customer identification.




The MTN - WWF Africa PachiPanda Challenge 2024 is open for the following African countries:




* Cameroon
* South Africa
* Nigeria
* Zambia
* Uganda.




Eligibility:
* The Challenge calls on individuals or teams residing in the participating country

* Participants must be of a legal age in their respective countries.


* The project must be carried out in the participating countries and must be in line with the core mission and goals of the World Wild Fund for Nature.




* The Applicants are expected to have a concrete and measurable SMART goals,and high communicative value to increase the chances of approval.




* The applicants must also concern an innovative project that boosts nature conservation in a contemporary way.
