This great and wonderful opportunity challenges youths - led earlier - stage energy Entrepreneurs across Africa to collaborate with local research institutions to create a prototype model of a key device for a social energy enterprise.

Prizes:

It is expected that  winners per track would be awarded grant prizes after been carefully selected by an independent panel of industry experts and development professionals from public and private sector institutions.

The winners Stand to:

* Receive cash of up to $10,000 to demonstrate or scale the project or solution.

* Attend business development workshops and receive support from a dedicated startup incubator.

* Benefit from unique networking opportunities with other young professionals and also as some of the most senior decision makers in government, international development, academia as well as private sector.

* Pitch their proposed prototype model at the 2024 Energy forum organized by NEF.

Early - stage energy entrepreneurs Across Africa are invited for the following tracks:

* First Track: Powering Agricultural businesses

* Second Track: Energizing health care and social development

* Third Track:

Clean energy for local manufacturing

* Fourth Track:

Sustainable energy for solid minerals processing.

Process of Applying:

Note; proposed prototype submission must include the following:

* project title - Solution (250 words)

* Short abstract (50 words)

* Innovation track expected impact (50 words)

* Problem statement (50 Words)

* Design tools method (50 words)

* Estimated cost (50 words)

Eligibility:

To be considered, you must meet the following criteria.

* Be a young professional aged between 18 and 35 years 

Note:

* Teams nay be formed across different schools, companies, Institutions, Countries etc.

* Individuals or teams may submit multiple applications

* At least one (1) member of the team must be from the local research institutions.

The First Round of Submission:

This will be checked using the following -

* Originality

* Clarity

* Local Content

* Commercial Viability.

Originality:

Here, you are expected to present solutions that are original and essential to the areas that are either underdeveloped or in research and literature.

Clarity:

Here your concept is to be clearly presented with achievable completion time frame.

Local Content:

You are expected to make use of local resource to showcase solutions for powering agriculture, industries, education, health care amongst others.
