8 - Point Plan to Generate $100 Billion and 2 Million jobs in Nigeria.

The Federal Republic of Nigeria has launched 8 - Point Plans to generate $100 Billion and 2 Million jobs in Creative Economy.







The eight (8) Point plan focuses on transforming the country's creative economy With the aim of generating $ 100 billion yearly while creating over 2 Million jobs.




According to the minister of Art,Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannetu Musawa in Lagos, "The new strategy has the potential to grow Nigeria's creative economy by over 400% by 2027".




He further stated that, despite the Creative industry's vast potential it is currently contributing only $5 Billion to Nigeria's economy with many sector still underdeveloped.




To enhance the success and actualization of this, the minister outlined 14 pivotal initiatives grouped into four which include the following:




* Infrastructure and Funding 
* International Culture promotion
* Technology
* intellectual Property Monetization.




These are expected to increase government's revenue yearly.










As the giant of Africa, this bold step is obviously a right step in the right direction as it is a part of the efforts to position Nigeria as a global leader in the Creative Economy which no doubt would enhance economy diversification and more job creation in the country.
